Robert L. Griffith

East Palestine - November 23, 2005 - Robert L. "Bob" Griffith, 64, of 50033 SR 14, died Wednesday morning at his home.

Mr. Griffith was born May 25, 1941 in Poland, OH, a son of the late Hubert and Grace McCoy Griffith and had lived in this area all of his life. He had been employed many years as a welder at the former L. W. Nash Company, East Palestine and Safety Lift, Columbiana. He was a member of East Palestine Lodge #417 F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Mae Blower, whom he married December 1, 1958; four daughters, Shirley Lee Gammill of East Palestine, Shellie Jean Staib of New Brighton, PA, Annette Marie Miller of Effort, PA, and Rhonda Lynn Griffith of East Palestine; two sons, Robert Lee Griffith, Jr. and Ronald S. Griffith, both of East Palestine; a close friend, Tom Burson, Sr. of Negley; a sister, Edna Swagger of New Springfield; a brother, Allen Griffith of North Lima; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Private family services were held. There are no calling hours. Arrangements were made by the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine.
