New Waterford – Robert I. “Bobby” Crook, 82, of New Waterford, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Mr. Crook was born December 23, 1934, in East Fairfield, a son of the late Wilmer and Martha Inboden Crook.

Robert was the parts, service manager and worked in many other capacities for Columbiana Ford. He was recognized by the Ford Motor Company, Detroit for 63 years of service with the company. He was a member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church in New Waterford where he sang in the church choir. Robert was also a member of the Columbiana-Fairfield Historical Group and served as a Fairfield Township Trustee.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kay E. Walters, whom he married February 25, 1955; three sons, Paul M. (Bonnie) Crook of Columbiana, David L. (Vicki DelliQuadri) Crook of Hubbard, Barry D. (Chris) Crook of Leetonia; a daughter, Diane L. (Rocky) DaLonzo of Cranberry Township, PA; a brother, William G. (Barb) Crook of Columbiana and 11 grandchildren, Kenne, Kiane, Todd, Michelle, Michael, Kyle, Emily, Ashley, Brandon, Kailey, Zachary; and 7 great grandchildren, Natalie, Meredith, Jacob, Zackary, Chance, RaeLynn, and Hunter.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin L. Crook; two brothers, Charles W. and James R. Crook and a sister, Ruth E. Welsh.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Deborah Quillen and the Reverend Charles Ready officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 and at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Hospice House, Poland or the East Fairfield United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center for the wonderful care that Robert received.
