Robert "Bob" Carson Sparks

Columbiana – Robert “Bob” Carson Sparks, age 72, of Columbiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana, OH.

He was born on May 29, 1953, in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Rev. Frank and Rev. Ruth Marple Sparks.

Bob had worked as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed traveling to different sites. He liked going to yard sales, attending festivals and playing BINGO. Mostly, Bob enjoyed cheerfully tormenting those around him.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Sparks of Leetonia, OH, and Jason Sparks of Georgia; two daughters, Ramona (Chad) Richoz of Girard, OH, and Candace Manypenny of Salem, OH; a brother, Milton Sparks of Missouri; two sisters, Ruth (Joe) Hampson, and Janet Smith, both of Georgia. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jacob Richoz, Kierstin Richoz, Courtney Hamilton, and Kharley Calabrese.

Bob was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence Sandy, Franklin Sparks, James Sparks, and Roger Sparks, and by a sister, Juanita Cushman.

Bob’s family will be conducting a memorial service in Georgia where he will be laid to rest with his parents.

Bob’s family would also like to thank the staff at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center for not only their friendship, but the many years of kind and compassionate care they provided for Bob.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
