Leetonia – Rita C. Rohrer, 87, of Oak Street, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Lori.

Rita was born September 6, 1927 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Morbito Perry and had lived here all of her life.

She had been employed as a packer at the former Berg’s Pretzels in Leetonia for several years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Leetonia; the Mission Society and the Altar & Rosary Society of the church. She was also a member of the LCBA Branch of Leetonia.

Her husband, Glenn M. Rohrer, whom she married August 27, 1949 died January 8, 2013.

She is survived by two daughters, Lori (James) McLaughlin of Leetonia and Glenna Holisky of Struthers; two sons, Kevin (Kelly) Rohrer of Manahawkin, NJ and Thomas Rohrer of Columbiana; a sister, Rosalyn Jones of Leetonia; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

A son, Michael Rohrer; a sister, Dolores Greier; and a brother, Francis Perry are also deceased.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.

Memorials may be made to the Restoration Fund of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Assumption Village in North Lima for the wonderful care that Rita received.
