Richard B. Whitehead

Columbiana April 4, 2006 -Richard Bennett Whitehead, age 70, of 28 South Middle Street died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday in the Essex of Salem.

He was born June 28, 1935 in New Waterford, son of Arthur and Ruth A. Birch Whitehead and had lived in Columbiana for 35 years, having lived in California for a period.

He had been a Manager-Cook for 35 years, last at Main Street Dinner in Columbiana.

He was a member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church and had attended the New York Restaurant and Hotel School. He served with the Hq & HqCo in the Army in the late 50's and early 60's.

A loving provider for children Sue and Keith, grandchildren Cathy and Eric and great-grandchildren, Kassandra, Lora and Erica. A brother, Robert Whitehead of East Liverpool, also survives Richard.

The Rev. W. David H. Conrad will conduct his funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
