Richard George, Sr

New Waterford - August 20, 2007 - Richard George, Sr., age 77, of 4611 Unity Line Road died at 3:55 a.m. Monday at the University Hospital of Cleveland.

Richard was born in Negley on November 4, 1929 the son of Levi and Nettie McCoy George. He was the youngest of thirteen children and had lived in the area all his life.

Richard owned and operated George's Party Pak & Hardware for the last 45 years.

He was a member of the Allen Lodge #276 in Columbiana.

Surviving him are his wife, Phyllis Leffel, whom he married August 8, 1949; a daughter Cheryl (Jay) Townsend of East Palestine, two sons Gregory George and Richard George, Jr. both of New Waterford; a sister, Alice Makowski of Darlington, PA; two grandsons Robert and James Seabrook; two great granddaughters Logan and Jensen Seabrook; and two great grandsons Sean and Johnathon Seabrook.

Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Stevenson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Old Mount Zion Cemetery, Negley.

Friends may call from 6-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Masonic services will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
