Columbiana- Richard "Dick" Fisher, age 70, of Columbiana, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Salem Reginal Medical Center.
He was born on October 14, 1944 in Salem, the son of the late G. Charles Fisher and the late Erma M. Elser Shood.
Dick was a graduate of Columbiana High School and Capital University where he received his bachelor's degree. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War and was a former member of the VFW. He had worked as a printer for many years, owning and operating the Village Print Shop. Dick was a lifetime member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Columbiana, a longtime member of Pointman Ministries, Leetonia and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He had many hobbies that included painting, woodworking and gardening. Dick was a very skilled craftsman and a "Jack of All Trades". He is survived by two sisters, Linda (Ned) Wright of Columbus and Carol (Stan) Crosser of Bedford, TX.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Columbiana with Pastor Sean Myers officiating.
Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the general fund at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., Columbiana, OH 44408.
