Rebecca "Becky" (Baird) Cavanaugh

Leetonia - Rebecca "Becky" Cavanaugh, age 70, of Leetonia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Salem Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, Salem.

She was born on April 8, 1955, in Salem, a daughter of the late Edwin and Betty Hough Baird.

Becky was a 1973 graduate of Leetonia High School.  She chose to stay at home and raise her family and tend to her home.  She loved cleaning her house.  It was always spotless and well taken care of.  She enjoyed playing games on her tablet, reading and listening to music.  She also loved family gatherings and spending time with the ones she loved.  She will be deeply missed.

Becky is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Cavanaugh, whom she married on February 14, 2021; her son, Shawn (Cathy) Bruderly of Ravenna; two stepdaughters, Rochelle (Jesse) Wright of Salem, and Kristen (Joe) Cataneo of Venetia, PA; a sister, Debbie (Scott) Sanor of East Rochester and a brother, Doug Baird of Goshen Twp.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Cole Bruderly, Logan Bruderly, Madison Wright, Alexis Wright, Hannah Cataneo and Levi Cataneo.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
