Raymond “Bob” Robert Miller

Rogers – Raymond “Bob” Robert Miller, 76, of Rogers, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Salem Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 23, 1948, to the late Raymond Roman Miller and June Vogeley Miller. He had three siblings, Susan, Louise and Joel, who are all deceased.

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with bachelor and master’s degrees, he earned a PhD at the University of Maryland. He spent several years at the Cleveland Clinic as a research scientist.

Following his calling and desire to help people more directly, Bob attended the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. He then became an ordained Methodist Minister. He spent 20 plus years serving many churches in Columbiana County, North Canton and Alliance before retiring.

Bob was a big Pittsburgh sports fan, especially for the Steelers. You could always tell when the team lost by his down mood.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon Van Natter Miller, whom he was married to for 42 years, and their 3-legged cat, Max.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, East Palestine, with Pastor Jeff Pellin and Pastor Tim McCollum officiating.

Memorial donations in memory of Bob may be made to, Doctors Without Boarders or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
