Perl Richard Brown

New Springfield - Perl Richard Brown, 76, died at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Boardman Health Center.

Mr. Brown was born July 11, 1936, in Bloomfield Township, Trumbull County, OH, a son of the late Perl Roosevelt and Gertrude B. Hoagland Brown and had lived in the New Springfield area most of his life.

Mr. Brown worked as a supervisor in the trans/rail fabricating department for Youngstown Steel Door Industries. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Salem and Allen Lodge #276 F. & A.M. He had also served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife the former, Judith Ann Rockhold, whom he married September 17, 1960; a sister, JoAnn L. Smith of Poland and a brother, James A. (Bonita) Brown of Laurel Hill, FL; four nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Rodney A. Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Leonard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Allen Lodge will conduct Masonic Services at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
