North Lima - Pearl Wise, 96, our beloved mother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 11, 2012.
Mrs. Wise, formerly of Market Street, was born January 19, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late William J. and Margaret J. Jones Green and had lived in North Lima for 62 years, coming from Pittsburgh.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church, North Lima and also attended the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene. She sang with the Sweet Adelines for 25 years and was a member of the Early Risers Bowling Team.
Her husband, James Allison Wise, whom she married May 12, 1936 died February 4, 1992.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet M. (the late Kenneth) Gamble of North Lima, with whom she had made her home for the past 20 years and Jacqueline P. (George) Stanislaw of Stuart, FL; a son, Thomas E. (Donna) Wise of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, Mackenzi A. Gamble.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Tom, and Bud Green.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
