Lisbon July 9, 2007 - Pauline "Polly" Thompson, age 80, of 39102 Adams Road died at 8:50 a.m. Monday in the St. Elizabeth Health Center.
She was born March 25, 1927 at home in rural Madison Township, daughter of Elmer Ross and Ada May Wilson Meek.
She was a housewife and had lived in the Lisbon area all her life. Mrs. Thompson attended West Point Elementary School and graduated from David Anderson High School in 1945.
She had been a member of the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ, the Women's Guild, Lamp Lighters Sunday School, Sunshine Club. She loved her family most and also enjoyed reading and cooking.
Beside her husband, James Edwin Thompson whom she married April 15, 1950; she is survived by four sons, Donald (Mickie) Thompson, David (Kay) Thompson, Kevin (Vickie) Thompson and Daniel (Jill) Thompson all of Leetonia; as well as, 13 grandchildren Lauren, Matt, Adam Thompson, Erin Pusateri, Jaime Booth, Jared and Elaina Thompson, Rachel Esterly, Erika Scott, Josh, Ashley, Jacob and Zachary Thompson and one great-grandson Cayden Booth.
Two sisters Doris Hasson and Gertrude McCaskey preceded her in death. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Reverend Jenna Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
