Negley - Pauline E. Huston, 100, formerly of SR 170, Negley, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Essex of Salem II.
Mrs. Huston was born January 18, 1912 in Rogers, a daughter of Wendell and Martha Cope Finch and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a 1930 graduate of Columbiana High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ, Industry, PA and recently attended the Phillips Christian Church, Salem. She had been a member of the Middleton Homemakers and was a RSVP volunteer. She was a member of the former Anna Eckley Chapter O.E.S. and currently the East Palestine Chapter #381 OES and was a 50 year member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Huston; her twin brother, Paul Finch; and two sisters, Ruth Hostetter and Helen McCall.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne H. Rumburg of Salem; two sons, James H. (Kay) Huston of Negley and Donald F. (Lynda) Huston of Cambridge; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Glenn Bias, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Memorial tributes may be made to either Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512, Phillips Christian Church, 35459 Salem Grange Rd. Salem, OH 44460, or Oak Grove Church of Christ, 169 Ashwood Dr. Industry, PA 15052.
