East Rochester, Thursday December 2 - Paul R. Miner, Jr., age 39, of 27426 Weaver Road, died at 5:50 p.m. at the scene of a traffic accident on the Ohio Turnpike, near Swanton.

He was born September 1, 1965 in Youngstown, son of Paul and Donna Jean Vecchione Miner and had lived in Columbiana most of his life, the last five years in East Rochester.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Minerva.

Mr. Miner graduated from Hocking Tech.

He had been employed by the Ohio State Department of Natural Resources, Stark County Park District, Home Depot and was presently employed as a salesman by Direct Action Company, producers of Equine Nutritional Products and Levy Home Entertainment Co..

Mr. Miner was the Eighth Grade Basketball Coach at United Schools, was a member of Duck's Unlimited, the Lake Pina Sportsman's Club, The American Hackney Association and was a board member of the Ohio Hackney Association.

His wife, the former Cynthia E. Fishel, whom he married April 27, 1999, survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Marisa Miner of Salem and Savannah Miner of the home; a son Cory Miner of the home; his parents of Columbiana; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Vecchione of Youngstown; his paternal grandparents, Timothy and Evelyn McCoy of Columbiana; and a brother, John A. (Debbie) Miner of Canfield.

The Rev. Joseph Ertle and the Rev, Thomas G. Ziegler will officiate at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana (330-482-3621). Burial will follow at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery at Minerva.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 Monday at the funeral home.
