Paul Georg Lorenz

Columbiana January 12, 2004 - Paul Georg Lorenz, age 70, of 1641 Columbiana-Lisbon Road died at 7:00 a.m. Monday in the Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown where he had been a patient for 10 days. He had been hospitalized for43 days following surgery.

He was born June 26, 1933 in Nuremberg Germany, son of Georg and Teresa Moelti Lorenz. He had lived in Columbiana for 28 years coming from East Palestine and had been a self-employed contractor.

Mr. Lorenz graduated from the Police Academy in Steubenville and was a former member of Columbiana Lions Club.

He is survived by a special friends, Doris and Joyce Chapman; a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Sylvia) Hughes and a son, Paul (Christy) Lorenz, both of Kentucky; a sister, Mrs. Marie Yockel of New Castle, PA; five nephews and two nieces and four grandchildren.

A sister, Johanna Raisor, a brother and three nieces preceded him in death. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.
