Columbiana – Orva H. Armentrout, 92, formerly of North Middle Street, died at 1:09 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Parkside Health Care Center.
Mrs. Armentrout was born December 18, 1923 in Webster Springs, WV, a daughter of the late John and Leo Hamrick Gregory and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana.
Her husband, Claude G. Armentrout, whom she married June 20, 1940 died March 13, 1989.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Keith (Lou Jing) Armentrout of Tavares, FL and Monty (Margery) Armentrout of Columbiana; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Rosana Barry and Janice Leffler; four sisters, Arlene Ammerman, Erma Gregory, Alma Tolliver, and Lennie Mick; and five brothers, Homer Gregory, Eldon Gregory, Orville Gregory, Norris Gregory, and Glen Gregory.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Joshua Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Midway Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Memorial tributes may be made to either the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana Memorial Fund or Hospice of the Valley.
