Rogers, OH-Oliver William Aeschbacher peacefully joined his father, Melvin; sister, Mary, and brothers, Thomas and Marvin in Heaven early Sunday morning, April 29th, 2012.
Oliver "OLLIE" was born May 31, 1958. He was the fifth child of Virginia Artrip, Rogers, Ohio and the late Melvin Aeschbacher.
Ollie is survived by his son, Oliver Micheal (Jodi) Aeschbacher; two granddaughters, Erika and Naomi Lee of East Palestine, Ohio; two sisters, Terri (Wayne) Morrison of New Waterford, Ohio and Dorothy (Randy) Weaver of Whitesboro, Texas; two brothers, Herman (Debbie) Aeschbacher of Willow Springs, North Carolina and Donald (Kyong Mi) Aeschbacher of Rogers, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ollie was happiest when he could express himself through his beautiful tattoo artistry. He was a wonderful carpenter and an official Jack-of-all-trades; however he earned certificates in Welding, Iron Working and Blue Prints.
Ollie fought a long hard battle with cancer and severe depression which lead to alcoholism and other addictions. He did not want to keep it a secret. He wanted his son, grandchildren and all the other members of his family to know that these addictions were the greatest struggle that he could never overcome. As he lay, one of his finale thoughts were that he "hoped through him, all the younger generations that he came in contact with would learn from his struggle, and never do as he did".
With this said as per Ollie's request NO services will be held.
The family requests that any contributions be made to the Neil Kennedy Recovery Center, 2151 Rush Boulevard Youngstown, OH 44507 in Ollie's name.
Arrangements were handled by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
