Olga M. Evans

Negley, OH - February 13, 2012-Olga M. Evans, 95, of Negley, died Monday, February 13, 2012 at Hospice House in Poland.

Mrs. Evans was born February 12, 1917 in Bessemer, PA, a daughter of Michael and Dora Bezack Percic and had lived in this area all of her life.

Olga was the head cook at Cettos Restaurant for 17 years. She was a member of the Negley United Methodist Church where she was the Sunday School Superintendent, served on the church board and taught Bible School. She was also a former member of the Anna Eckley Chapter #392 OES, Negley and a current member of the East Palestine Chapter #381 OES, Kate Dewees Past Matrons and Patrons, the Social Order of the Beauceant and the Pythian Sisters where she was past most excellent chief.

Her husband, Harry F. Evans, whom she married December 15, 1934, died February 6, 1970.

Olga is survived by a daughter, Bridgette (Richard) Eaton of Bay City, TX; two sons, Harry (Ginger) Evans, Jr. of Negley and William (Faith) Evans of Helena, AL; thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elma Radu and Ann Thompson; and three brothers, Frank, Joseph and William Percic.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Kathy Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home where an Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30pm.
