Norman W. Jones

Port Richey, FL-April 7, 2008-Norman W. Jones, age 89, of Port Richey, FL died at 3:12 a.m. Monday at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana, OH, where he had been for rehabilitation.

Mr. Jones was born November 15, 1918 in Delphos, OH a son of William and Mary Bowman Jones and had been living in Florida for the past 27 years coming from Delphos, OH.

Norman was a yardmaster for the Norfolk and Western Railroad for 30 years retiring in 1980. He also served in the US Marines during World War II.

His wife, the former Muriel Neely, whom he married May 12, 1949, died December 8, 2002.

He is survived by two daughters, Norma Kay (Paul) Collette of Negley, OH and Jennifer (Gary) Jones-Miller of Milwaukee, WI; and a grandson, Jared Paul Collette.

Memorial services to celebrate the lives of Norman and Muriel will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church, Port Richey, FL.
