Norma Jean Guy

Rogers February 10, 2006 -Norma Jean Guy, age 64, of 47707 Carmel Achor Road, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday in the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where she had been a patient for 20 days.

She was born January 7, 1942 in Middleton Township, daughter of Willis Francis and Sarah Elizabeth Butler Gorby and had lived in the area all of her life.

Mrs. Guy had been a housewife for many years and a cook at Parkside Restaurant at East Palestine.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist in Negley.

Her husband, Merle Lee Guy whom she married May 21, 1960, preceded her in death April 9, 1998.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Philip (Donna) Moore, Mrs. Kenneth (Tammy) Cunningham, Mrs. Michael (Victoria) Ward, Delores Scyoc and Mrs. James (Debora) Cox, all of Rogers; a sister, Mrs. Gene (Paula) Smith of Rogers; two brothers, Timothy J. Gorby and Michael J. Gorby, Sr. both of Rogers; and eleven grandchildren.

A grandson, Joshua Edward Cox, a brother, William Gorby, Sr. and a nephew, William Gorby, Jr., preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Clark of the Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in the East Carmel Cemetery.
