Mildred C. Slaven

Columbiana April 8, 2004 - Mildred C. Slaven, age 87, of formerly of Duquesne Street died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday in the Essex of Salem #1.

She was born, April 28, 1916, in Green Township, daughter of Elmer and Celestia Goodman Hively.

Mrs. Slaven had lived in Columbiana since 1976 coming from Berlin Center Ohio and had been a Sewer for Franklin Furniture for 28 years.

She attended Jerusalem Lutheran Church and was a member of the Columbiana Senior Citizens and AARP.

Her husband, Arthur Dale Slaven whom she married June 6, 1945, preceded her in death November 17, 1968.

A son, Harold Miller of Columbiana, survives her. A brother, Carl Hively, preceded Mrs. Slaven in death.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. W. David H. Conrad officiating.

Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery.
