Columbiana September 12, 2007 - Mildred Mary Rowan, age 94, formerly of Colonial Drive died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday in Parkside Health Care Center.
She was born September 1, 1913 in Unity Township, daughter of William and Goldie Sailors Phillips and had lived in Columbiana since 1925.
Mrs. Rowan was a member of Grace Church, graduated from Columbiana High School in 1931 and was a member of the former Chapter #253, Order of Eastern Star at Leetonia and Salem Chapter #334, Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband, James Donald Rowan, whom she married June 15, 1934 died November 22, 1976.
Surviving are two sons, James D. Rowan II of Huntsville, AL and William Phillips Rowan of Columbiana; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Two sisters, Ethel Orris and Alberta Phillips preceded her in death.
The Rev. Dr. Robert C. Joy will conduct her service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The Salem Chapter of Eastern Star will conduct a service at 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
