Salem - July 21, 2009 - Mildred G. Less, 92, of 39721 SR 14A, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.
Mrs. Less was born October 27, 1916 in East Lewistown, a daughter of Harvey M. and Francis H. West Bair and had lived in the area all her life.
Mildred was co-owner with her husband, Joseph, of Less Farms & Market.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia and LCBA.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Charles) Kehres of Beachwood and Bonnie (Dwight) Smith of Sarona, WI; six sons, Vice Admiral Anthony A. (Leanne) Less of Clifton, VA, Frederick E. Less of Salem, Joseph R. (Marianne) Less of Columbiana, James M. Less of Salem, Gerald A. (Suzi) Less of Leetonia and Richard M. (Jackie) Less of Rockford, MI; 28 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death on October 13, 1992 by her husband, Joseph A. Less, whom she married October 27, 1936; a daughter, Patricia (James) Driscoll and a brother, Albert P. Bair.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Father Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
