Mildred L. Candel

East Palestine, March 12, 2004, Mildred L. Candel, age 92, of 321 E. Taggart Street, died at 10:00 p.m. Friday at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana, following a short illness.

Mrs. Candel was born February 12, 1912 in Unity, Ohio, a daughter of Charles and Anna Rohrbaugh Wilhelm. She was a homemaker and had lived in this area all of her life.

Her husband, Lloyd S. Candel died July 2, 1976.

She is survived by three daughters, Joan Macek of Board man, Mrs. Thomas (Jean) Mercure of Columbiana, and Janet Meek of Odessa, TX; six grandsons, Page Macek, Mark Macek, Thomas Mercure, Jr., Danny Mercure, Thomas D. Meek II, and Timothy A. Meek; and two great grandchildren, Timothy A. Meek II and Macee Mercure.

A brother, Arthur Wilhelm is also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Monday.
