New Waterford - In Loving Memory of Michael Shawn Wylie:

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Shawn Wylie, who departed this life peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Born on July 29, 1965, Mike lived a life defined by devotion to family, loyalty to friends, hard work, and an unwavering love for the people fortunate enough to know him. He shared a special lifelong bond with his twin sister, Mindy. On September 28, 1985, he married the love of his life, Pamela, beginning a marriage that spanned more than four decades and stood as a testament to commitment, partnership, and enduring love. He was also a cherished son-in-law to William Mack and to Linda and Myron Wehr, whom he loved and respected as family.

Above all else, Mike was a family man. He was a devoted husband to Pamela, a loving father to his sons, Michael and Nicholas, and a proud grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Olive. He was especially proud of his daughter-in-law, Brittany, whom he loved as family and spoke of with admiration and affection.

To those who knew him best, Mike was the pillar of the family—the quintessential patriarch, whose strength, wisdom, and steady presence provided comfort, guidance, and security to those he loved. His kindness was genuine, his character was unwavering, and his soul was pure. He led not through words alone, but through the example he set every day.

Mike found his greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. He treasured hunting trips with his sons, Michael and Nicholas, and cherished the countless hours spent fishing for walleye alongside them. Some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors, sharing stories, laughter, and traditions that will live on for generations.

He deeply valued the friendships he built throughout his life and enjoyed gathering with friends, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Whether close to home or while traveling and exploring new places, Mike treasured the relationships that enriched his life.

After a long and dedicated career, Mike proudly retired from D.W. Dickey in February 2026. Retirement afforded him the opportunity to spend more time with the people he loved most and enjoy the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, his legacy will continue through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched through his generosity, integrity, and unwavering devotion. His lessons, laughter, and love will remain with us always.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of more than forty years, Pamela; his sons, Michael and Nicholas; his daughter-in-law, Brittany; his cherished granddaughter, Olive; his twin sister, Mindy; his father, Richard Wylie; his mother, Linda Huston; his father-in-law, William Mack; his mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Linda and Myron Wehr; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. While we mourn the loss of Michael Shawn Wylie, we celebrate the remarkable man he was and the love he shared with all who knew him.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
