Michael A. Loparo

Columbiana - March 13, 2006 - Michael A. LoParo, age 50, of 44687 SR 14, died Monday of injuries he received, due to his heroic decision, in a truck accident in Howland Township, Trumbull County.

He was born February 11, 1956 in West Palm Beach, FL, a son of Carmello J. and Patricia Lima LoParo and had lived here 6 A½ years, coming from Erie, PA. He had served in the US Coast Guard. He had been employed as a truck driver for Kaleel Brothers Trucking, Boardman.

Michael is survived by his fiancAC., Jackie Wellman, whom he was to marry this summer; his mother, Patricia Sorrentino of Clifton Heights, PA; his father, Carmello J. LoParo of Clairmont, FL; a daughter, Amethyst Rodgers of Erie, PA; two sons, Nathaniel J. LoParo and Michael LoParo, both of Erie, PA; a stepson, Justin Wellman of Columbiana; three sisters, Marie LoParo of Darby, PA, Josephine Bushnell of Springfield, PA, and Lisa Ashenfelter of Brick, NJ; two brothers, Joseph LoParo of Charlotte, NC and Carmen LoParo of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a grandson, Joshua Rodgers and a granddaughter, Samantha Rodgers.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana with the Reverend Thomas G. Ziegler officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services on Friday.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana.
