Michael T. Hannigan

Leetonia-Michael Timothy Hannigan, 60, passed away peacefully from a sudden illness Monday, December 19, 2016 surrounded by his wife and children at University Hospitals in Cleveland.

Mr. Hannigan was born May 2, 1956 in Jacksonville, North Carolina at Camp LeJeune, a son of the late Robert and Mary Patton Hannigan. Michael grew up in New Jersey and had lived in Leetonia since the 1980's.

Michael was well known for his love of history and sports, especially his Philadelphia Eagles. He was also known for his kind and loving heart as he was always the first to be there when you needed something.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Deanna Kleinknecht; his children Matthew Hannigan, Brandy (Josh) Rosa, Camrin (Kim) Dattilio; his two adoring grandsons, LJ and Brody Rosa; his siblings, Trish Biancone, John (Amy) Hannigan, Cheryl (Mike) Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Hannigan.

Friends will be received from 6-7 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with medical costs.
