Michael "Mick" Davis

Canfield - Michael "Mick" Davis, age 74, of Canfield, passed away at home with his family on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

He was born on February 3, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of the late Maurice and Marilyn Bowser Davis.

Mick had worked as a service manager for Shir Leasing in Columbiana and had attended Greenford Christian Church.  He was a “jack of all trades” who could fix anything.  He was always tinkering and looking for projects.  He would tackle big projects as well as smaller ones, like building train sets and slingshots for his grandchildren.  He had a big heart and enjoyed helping others.  Mick would often times mow his neighbor’s lawns or plow their driveways, because he enjoyed it.  He also enjoyed cars, snacking on sweet treats, cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and he absolutely loved attending the Canfield fair.  Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He loved traveling to visit his children and grandchildren who affectionately called him “Pappy”.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Drotleff Davis, whom he married on December 24, 1979; two sons, Daniel (Krystal) Davis of Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada and James (Nichole) Davis of Fletcher, NC; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Charlotte; brother, Larry Davis of Columbiana, and his beloved fur baby, Haylie.

He was preceded in death by brother, James Davis and his sister, Linda Drotleff.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a private family memorial service will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
