Leetonia-Michael James Cullinan, 68, of 420 Columbia Street, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1942 in Salem, a son of Daniel and Esther Binns Cullinan.

Mr. Cullinan had worked as a machinist for the Fordees Company in Leetonia.

Michael served in the US Army. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia and the Joe William Post #131 of the American Legion for 43 years, where he served as Adjutant for 20 years.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Alice Banar of Salem; a nephew, David Banar of Salem; his friend and neighbor, David Leffel of Leetonia; and his canine companion, Lilly.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia. Arrangements were made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
