Matthew Ruhl

Matthew James Ruhl, 49, of Suwanee, Georgia, formerly of Columbiana, peacefully passed away Jan. 19th at 10:05 a.m. at Gwenneth Medical Center in Duluth, Georgia, following a lengthy illness. Born February 13, 1957, he was the son of James and Dorothy Ruhl. He was a 1975 graduate of Columbiana High School. Matt was a third generation self-employed carpenter and owner of Sun Services, and forever an entrepreneur at heart. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He is survived by his daughter Katherine Ruhl of Texas, father James B. Ruhl of Columbiana, two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Debbie) Long of Leetonia, and Denise Ruhl of Salem; two nephews Grady (Lisa) Long of Burlington, Vermont, and Zach Long of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Crook Ruhl April 1, 1977. There will be private family graveside services following cremation at Cool Springs Cemetery. The family requests that all who knew and loved Matt raise a toast and remember to not take life for granted, because it can be over in a blink of an eye.
