Mary T. Wasylychyn

Leetonia - Mary T. Wasylychyn, 91, formerly of State Street, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Wasylychyn was born September 29, 1922 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Ceplece Vrabel and had lived in this area all of her life.

She had been employed as a machine operator at Ballonoff Products, Columbiana for several years. She had previously worked at WM Inc. and Mullins Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia.

Her husband, John J. Wasylychyn, whom she married June 30, 1973 died March 26, 1988.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Kate Zarnosky and Ann Castrucci; and five brothers, Mike Rabel, Steve Vrabel, John Vrabel, Andy Vrabel, and Joseph Vrabel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia, with the Reverend Stephen Wassie officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday.
