Mary Ruth Vick

Columbiana - August 13, 2009 - Mary Ruth Vick, 87, of 710F Springfield Road, died at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, at Altercare of Noble Pond, Canton.

Mrs. Vick was born May 2, 1922 in Miami, FL, a daughter of Charles F. and Mary Henninchick Ford and had lived in Columbiana since 1986 coming from Louisville, KY.

Mary was a homemaker and had attended Lorain Business College. She was a Seaman First Class in the Navy during WWII.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Harlan) Adkins of Clinton; two sons, Perry Ford (Barbara) Vick of Minerva and David Alan (Jennifer) Vick of Norfolk, VA; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mary was preceded in death on January 22, 2004 by her husband, Elmer Vick, whom she married November 28, 1947.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
