Mary L. Shroades

Columbiana - Mary L. Shroades, 87, of Columbiana, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Akron General Medical Center.

Mary was born June 9, 1930 in Jefferson County, Ohio a daughter of the late Harry and Ona Mae Culp Dillon.

She was a retired toll collector for the Ohio Turnpike.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Bruce) Nord of Randleman, NC; two sons, David Shroades of Columbiana and Robert (Linda) Shroades of Canton; a sister Ona Mae Strudthoff of North Georgetown and three grandchildren, Brynn Shroades of Lisbon, Andrew Shroades of Cleveland and Lucas Shroades of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John J. Oliver and her second husband Robert J. Shroades; three brothers, Ernest Dillon, Robert Dillon and John Dillon; and three sisters, Elizabeth Glenn, Virginia Crook and Harriett Criss.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Burial will take place in Columbiana Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
