Mary J. Shetler

New Waterford-Mary J. Shetler, 96, formerly of New Waterford, died at 9:30 pm Friday, June 21, 2013 at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana.

Mrs. Shetler was born June 12, 1917 in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of Clyde and Rachel Rugh Myers and had lived in this area most of her life.

Mary was a seamstress for many years.

Her husband, Henry Shetler, died July 4, 1969.

She is survived by her son, William (Theresa) Shetler, of Rogers, a sister, Minnie Steffey of Delmont, PA; four grandchildren, Brian (Richelle Van Kirk) Shetler, Eric Shetler, Taylor (Darryl) Jones and Christa (Joseph Zipnock) Burnette; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Albert, Robert, Gibson, Marshall and Richard Myers and one sister, Marie Bloom.

Private services are being held with her family. Burial will be in Twin Valley Cemetery, Delmont, PA.

Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Cancer Society.

Arrangements were handled by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
