Mary Alma Neiheisel

Leetonia-August 4, 2011-Mary A. Neiheisel, 84, of 937 East Park Ave. Columbiana, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday at her home.

Mrs. Neiheisel was born September 26, 1926 in Struthers, a daughter of John and Clara Louise Buress Bodnark and had lived in this area all of her life.

Mary was a homemaker and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia.

She is survived by her husband, Harry H. Neiheisel, whom she married June 25, 1946; her daughter, Linda (Willard) Lutz of Leetonia; two sons, David (Mary Ann) Neiheisel, Sr. of Columbiana and James (Pat) Neiheisel of Leetonia; four sisters, Emily Heavren of Dayton, Jean (Donald) Cooke of Topeka, KS, Edna Aho of McDonald, Carol (Tom) Sapienza of Greenville, PA; two brothers, John (Loretta) Bodnark of Poland and William (Diane) Bodnark of Lexington, SC; six grandchildren, Michael (Sherri) Lutz, Mark (Beth) Lutz, Eric (Erica) Neiheisel, David Neiheisel, Jr., Joshua Neiheisel, and Jacob (Kelly) Neiheisel; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Kihm, Betty Baugh and Thelma Culver.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
