New Waterford December 1, 2005 -Mary McGaffic, age 98, of 4723 Peace Valley Road died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday in the Essex Of Salem. She was born January 27, 1907 in New Waterford, daughter of Paul and Martha Zellers Oberholtzer and had lived there all of her life. She had been a Seamstress at the former Kenmar Manufacturing in East Palestine, the former Franklin Furniture Company in Columbiana and Garrods Furniture in New Waterford. She was a member of the New Springfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her husband, Donald Ray McGaffic whom she married July 17, 1926, preceded her in death February 5, 1982. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Lower of New Waterford; a sister, Susan Oberholtzer of New Waterford; a brother, Paul Oberholtzer of East Palestine, a granddaughter, Mrs. Charles (Lori) Souder of New Waterford; two grandsons, James (Heidi) Lower of New Waterford and Dale Scott Lower of Richmond, VA; seven great-grandchildren, Mathew McBride, Daniel, Christie, Corey, Casey, Anna Marie Lower and James Lower, Jr.; four great-great-grandchildren, MacKenzie McBride, Ashley, Craig and Brent Lower She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel Maple, Martha Adams, Dorothy Sample and Virginia Drotloff; six brothers, Jesse, Joel, Russell, Clarence, Charles and Roy Oberholotzer. A memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, at the New Springfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Mr. Bill Yoho officiating.
