Mary Margaret "Marcie" Patchen

Poland - Mary Margaret "Marcie" Patchen, age 89, of Poland, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Hampton Woods Nursing Facility in Poland. She was born November 21, 1927 in North Lima, the daughter of the late Jacob and Harriet Weddell Albright. Marcie graduated from Columbiana High School in 1945. She attended Youngstown Business School and was later employed as a secretary for Republic Steel until her marriage to Don Patchen in 1952. Marcie and Don moved to Poland in 1955. She was a member of the Poland United Methodist Church for many years. Most recently, she was a member of the Poland Christian Church. Marcie was a wonderful homemaker, wife, and mother. She was a farmer's daughter which inspired her love of gardening. Her beautiful flowers and bountiful produce were enjoyed every summer. She also loved knitting, having won many awards for knitted items at the Canfield Fair.
