Columbiana-November 1, 2008-Mary "Edith" Linn-Hall, 89, of 937 E. Park Ave. died at 8:25 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mrs. Hall was born December 25, 1918 in Washingtonville, a daughter of Alan A. and Clara E. O'Neill Stirling and had lived in this area all of her life.
Edith had worked for the former Berg Bretzel Company in Leetonia and Church Budget in Salem. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Leetonia and Greenford Christian Church. She had been a member of the Pythian Sisters. Edith was a loving mother and cherished her grandchildren.
Mrs. Hall's first husband, Mearle E. Linn, whom she married February 1, 1941, died July 8, 1967. Her second husband, Harry E. Hall, whom she married August 16, 1982, died December 2, 1998.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Jack) Bruderly of Salem; her son, Robert (Nancy) Linn of Washingtonville; her sister, Leona Willson of Margate, FL; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Darlene) Bruderly, Jason (Jennifer) Linn and Kelli Linn.
A sister, LauraAnn Kathryn Stirling and three brothers. William, James and Charles Stirling are also deceased.
As Edith requested, private services were held Monday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia and burial took place in Washingtonville Cemetery. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
