Mary M. Lilley

Salem - July 4, 2008 - Mary M. Lilley, 77, of 485 Aetna Street, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Lilley was born March 23, 1931 in Wadsworth, OH, a daughter of the late Julius D. and Tillie J. Britt Sherrill and had lived in this area most of her life. She had been employed at the former W. S. George Pottery in East Palestine for several years and also as a cook and waitress at the former Parkside Restaurant.

A daughter, Ruth Freed is deceased.

She is survived by three sons, John Freed and Robert Freed, both of Unity, and James Freed of Enon Valley, PA; two sisters, Louella Clemmer of Darlington, PA and Jean Fitzsimmons of Columbiana; a brother, Charlie Sherrill of Enon Valley, PA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July, 9, 2008 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor David Sutton officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
