Mary Jane Kleinknecht

Salem-OH-October 2, 2011-Mary Jane Kleinknecht, 83, formerly of Leetonia, died at 10:00 p.m. Sunday at Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Kleinknecht was born May 15, 1928 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Leroy and Loretta Coleman Adams and had lived in this area most of her life.

Mary had worked for Ort Furniture Manufacturing for several years as well as Dan Dee Pretzel Company in Leetonia.

Her husband, Robert Kleinknecht, whom she married November 2, 1946, died May 30, 1987.

She is survived by two daughters, Diana (Robert) Claypoole of Columbiana and Pam (Ron) Stecker of Leetonia; a son, Robert Kleinknecht of Washingtonville; a brother, Jim Adams of Jacksonville, FL; and three grandchildren, Sherri Claypoole, Ian Stecker and Isaac Stecker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Kleinknecht and three brothers, Leroy, Jack and Chuck Adams.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Oakdale Cemetery Chapel with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
