Mary A. Dudick

Leetonia - Mary A. Dudick, 86, of 217 Oak Street, died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Dudick was born March 10, 1925 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late John and Anna Dupal Kiliany and had lived in this area all of her life. She had been employed as a floor supervisor at Berg's Pretzels for several years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the LCBA Branch #909 where she was past president. She was also a member of the Slovak Class at St. Mathias Church, Youngstown.

Her husband, Michael G. Dudick, whom she married September 27, 1947 died October 1, 2000.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy (Michael) Hudak of Salem, Mickey (Donald) Thompson of Leetonia, and Cheryl (David) Newhouse of Greenford; two sisters, Dorothy Zimmerman of Columbiana and Eleanor Zimmerman of Washingtonville; and five grandchildren, Lauren (Jared) Huffman of Zanesville, Matthew Thompson of Harrisonburg, VA, Adam Thompson, Leetonia, Jacob Hudak and Michael Hudak, both of Salem.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Kiliany, and a sister, Louise Briggs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Association.
