Mary Ellen Cutchall

Columbiana – Mary Ellen Cutchall, 96, formerly of Leetonia and Harmony Village, Columbiana, died Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Willow Woods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, North Lima.

Miss Cutchall was born April 4, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Merrill M. and Mary K. McClintock Cutchall and had lived in Leetonia most of her life.  She had been employed at Hunt Valve, Salem for several years and prior to that at the Leetonia Tool Company.  She had been a member of the former First United Methodist Church of Leetonia and the former Leetonia Chapter #253 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron.  She was currently a member of Day Chapter #479 OES of Lorain, OH and served as Clerk of Oakdale Cemetery from 1993 until 2011.  She had also served on the Cemetery Board and also the Chapel Committee and was honored this past October by the Cemetery Board for her many contributions to the cemetery.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James W. Cutchall.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at the Oakdale Cemetery Chapel on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. where East Palestine Chapter OES will conduct services led by Past Grand Matron of Ohio, Bonnie Youngblood.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements for Mary Ellen have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
