East Palestine-Mary H. Clark, 88, formerly of Carbon Hill Road, died at 6:00 pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at The Assumption Village, North Lima.

Mrs. Clark was born July 6, 1926 in East Palestine, a daughter of Raymond A. and Effie E. Morgan Hollabaugh and had lived in this area all of her life.

She was a sewer for the former Cherry Hill Furniture Company in New Waterford and had also worked at WS George Pottery. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in East Palestine, the Pandora Rebekah Lodge #743 and the East Palestine Amateur Radio Club; her call letters were KB8RMM.

Her husband, Marcus R. Clark, whom she married June 6, 1945, died September 23, 2002.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine (Jim) Bendle of Grand Rapids, MI, Nancy (Daniel) Altsman of Porter, TX, Arlene (Craig) Lawson of East Liverpool and Darlene (Michael) Kelly of East Palestine; two sisters, Martha Sedgwick of Paso Rubles, CA and Margaret (Boyd) Justice of Dundee, FL; a brother, Gene Hollabaugh of Chesapeake, VA; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Besides her father, Raymond Hollabaugh and her mother, Effie Hollabaugh Betts, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Matern.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Vel Vais officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Material tributes may be made to either The Assumption Village, North Lima or the First United Presbyterian Church, East Palestine.
