Mary A. Butler

East Palestine – Mary A. Butler, 73, of East Palestine, died, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born, November 11, 1944 in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late, Frederick and Olive Moore Mader, Sr.

Mary was a foundry worker with M and W Electric. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, going to yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Her husband, George E. Butler, whom she married, August 7, 1965, preceded her in death on, September 8, 1988.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgiana (David) Murphy of East Palestine and Joyce (Danny) Henderson of East Palestine and four grandchildren, Ashley Murphy, D.J. (Chelsea) Murphy, Elizabeth (Keith) Maltby and Courtney Henderson.

Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Mader, Jr.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
