Martha Jane Lewis

East Palestine, OH - May 26, 2010 - Martha Jane Lewis, 83, formerly of Cyland Avenue, passed away peacefully at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Lewis was born June 16, 1926 in Graysville, PA, a daughter of Frank T. and Eva Fox Ealy and had lived in this area 23 years, coming from Chippewa, PA.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of East Palestine and had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband, Reed B. Lewis, whom she married February 23, 1948, passed away December 12, 2003.

She is survived by two sons, William (Debbie) Lewis of Petersburg, OH and Kevin (Diane) Lewis of London, Ontario; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Rusty) Kalcevic, Emily (Gavin) Exon, Amanda Lewis, Brian Patrone, and Kevin (Jennifer) Patrone; five great grandchildren, Shane, Allison, Austin, Chase, and Hayden.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with the Reverend Joanne Dota officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Friday.
