Mark Allen Buffone

Leetonia-Mark Allen Buffone, 49, of Chestnut Street, died at 4:05 am Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness.

Mark was born October 12, 1965 in Salem, a son of John A. and Donna Brooks Buffone Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life.
He was a 1984 graduate of Leetonia High School and received his bachelor’s degree from YSU in 1988.

He worked at the Corner Pocket, Leetonia and Italian American Club in Leetonia where he was also a member. Mark was a member of The Sons of the American Legion and the FOE #1496 in Leetonia, the York Drexler Post #5532 VFW in Washingtonville and the Salem Italian American Club in Salem. He was a Cleveland and Notre Dame Sports enthusiast and loved playing bocce. Most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. Mark will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his parents, Donna and John Buffone, Sr. of Leetonia; a sister, Carla (John) Theil of Columbiana; three brothers, John (Nicole) Buffone, Jr., Stephen (Christine) Buffone and Tony (Lisa) Buffone all of Leetonia; five nieces and six nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor Cyndi Midlick officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
