Marjorie J. Simon

East Palestine-Marjorie J. Simon, 83, of Hadley Rd. passed away Sunday morning, February 26, 2017.

Mrs. Simon was born January 8, 1934 in Lisbon, A daughter of the late John Clifton and Margaret Lucille McLaughlin Cusick and had lived in this area all of her life.

Marjorie was book keeper for the former Kenmar Company in East Palestine. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a member of the Unity Grange for over 60 years.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer C. Simon, whom she married September 27, 1958; two daughters, Diane (Eric) Kehler of Worthington and Debbie Hephner of East Palestine; two sons, Dale Simon of East Palestine, and Donald (Ann) Simon of Olmsted Falls; two brothers, Glenn (Donna) Cusick of East Palestine and John (Carol) Cusick of North Canton; and seven grandchildren, Adam Kehler, Matthias Kehler, Leah Kehler, Michael Simon, Abby Simon, Courtney Hephner and Hannah Hephner.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alyssa Kehler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 and 10am-11am Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
