East Palestine-Marilyn A. Henry, 85, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 16, 2015, at Akron General Medical Center.
Mrs. Henry was born March 21, 1930 in Salem, a daughter of the late Charles and Vera Fraser Brown and had lived in this area all of her life.
Marilyn had worked at the former Browns Typewriter and Office Equipment Store, as well as for Threshold Residential Services. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she participated in the Wesley Weds Sunday School Class. She also belonged to a local card club.
Her husband, Chester P. Henry, whom she married December 2, 1950, died December 17, 2012.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Ted) Yuhaniak of Salem, her son, Charles Henry of East Palestine; five grandchildren, Tom Yuhaniak, Ted Yuhaniak, Betsy Yuhaniak, Jeffrey S. Henry and Regis Collins; and several great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Henry and sister, Alys Jean Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
