Marie A. Troy

Leetonia - September 21, 2007 - Marie A. Troy, 92, formerly of Chestnut Street Ext., died at 6:05 p.m. Friday at Allay House in Lisbon.

Mrs. Troy was born June 20, 1915 in Youngstown, a daughter of Anthony and Rose Naples Virgalitte and had lived here most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Her husband, Carmen A. Troy, Sr. preceded her in death.

She was the loving mother and grandmother of two daughters, Mrs. David (Rosemary) Volpe of Washingtonville and Mrs. James (Nancy) Feist of Leetonia; two sons, Carmen (Linda) Troy, Jr. of Leetonia and Richard Paul (Patricia) Troy of Negley; a sister, Rose Wendt of Youngstown; three step sisters, Julia Virgalitte of Boardman, Betty Drummond and Edith Markovich, both of Girard; nine grandchildren, Anthony Troy, Kelly Troy Lutz, Tracy Volpe Homan, Daniel Volpe, Bryan Allan Troy, Kevin Richard Troy, Laurie Troy Thomas, Julie Hartley Dudich, Heather Hartley Lehwald and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with the Reverend Thomas McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday.

Memorial tributes may be made to either St. Patrick's Catholic Church or the Leetonia Public Library.
