Marie C. Leyman

Salem-October 19, 2009-Marie C. Leyman, 80, of 1388 S. Lincoln Ave. died at 2:20 p.m. Monday at her daughter's home.

Mrs. Leyman was born July 14, 1929 in Salem, a daughter of William and Nellie Cross Bergman and had lived in this area all of her life.

Marie was a finisher for Royal China in Sebring for 15 years and had also worked for Mustang Products in Damascus retiring in 1991. She is a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Salem.

Her husband, Donald G. Leyman, Sr., whom she married July 26, 1947, died November 22, 1991.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana Leyman of Columbiana; two sons, Donald G. Leyman, Jr. of Salem and William Leyman of Sebring; three sisters, Gloria Holisky of Columbiana, Blanche Feezle of Leetonia and Arlene Probert of Washington; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Duane Leyman and a sister, Frances Leyman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia with the Reverend Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
